INSTRUCTIONS FOR ABSTRACT SUBMISSION

The abstract must be prepared using the template that can be downloaded below.

The template contains the detailed instructions to prepare the abstract.

Abstract content must not occupy more than one page following the template style.

All participants are reminded that an automated system will be used to format the abstracts, so those abstracts that have not been prepared following the template  may contain errors or not be shown in their entirety.

INSTRUCTIONS FOR ORAL COMMUNICATIONS

Please take into consideration the following guidelines when preparing the presentation:

  • Presentation time will be 12 minutes (+ 3 minutes of questions) for oral communications.
  • All  oral  communications  must  be  presented  in  English  as  well  as  the  text  that  is  shown in the slides.
  • All slides in the presentation must have a 16:9 aspect ratio size.
  • A minimum font size of 14 point is recommended using a larger size for the headings.
  • For  the  best  visual  effect,  try  not  to  use  figures  that  are  complex  or  contain  images that are too small to be seen and understood clearly.
  • Whenever  possible,  try  to  present  numerical  data  in  the  form  of  graphs  instead  of tables  in  order  to  facilitate  its  visualization.  If  data  must  be  presented  in  table  format, keep it simple.
  • It  is  compulsory  to  use  the  computer  provided  by  the  organization. Computers  with  Windows  10  or  newer  will  be  available  with  PowerPoint  and  Acrobat Reader software.
  • All   presentations   will   be   checked   in   advance   on   the   computers   available   in   the conference  rooms  to  confirm  that  there  are  no  software  incompatibilities  or  computer problems.  However,  it  is  suggested  that  all  speakers  be  at  the  beginning  of  the  oral communications  session  as  well  as  to  bring  an  additional  copy  of  the  presentation  in PDF format on a flash drive in case some problem arises.
  • Please  note  that  session  chairs  are  under  very  strict  instructions  to  keep  their  sessions on schedule. Presentations will not be allowed to exceed the total time allotted.

INSTRUCTIONS FOR POSTER PRESENTATIONS

Please take into consideration the following guidelines when preparing the poster:

  • All posters must be written in English.
  • Prepare  your  poster  in  a  vertical  arrangement  with  dimensions  of  120  cm  height  x  90 cm wide.
  • A minimum font size of 18 point is recommended using a larger size for the headings.
  • For  the  best  visual  effect,  try  not  to  use  figures  that  are  complex  or  contain  images that are too small to be seen and understood clearly from a distance greater than 1.5 m.
  • Whenever  possible,  try  to  present  numerical  data  in  the  form  of  graphs  instead  of tables  in  order  to  facilitate  its  visualization.  If  data  must  be  presented  in  table  format, keep it simple.
  • Any  supplies  that  might  be  needed  to  put  up  the  poster  (i.e.,  thumbtacks,  tape, scissors, etc.) will be available on site.
  • Each  poster  board  will  already  have  the  poster  code  at  the  top.  Check  the  code assigned to your communication in the symposium program before placing the poster.
  • During  the  symposium,  all  posters  will  be  posted  and  available  in  the  conference centre  for  all  attendees  to  peruse  at  any  time.  Each  person  or  working  group  must present  their  poster  and  answer  the  questions,  if  any,  of  the  Scientific  Committee  and the attendees.
  • Do not remove your poster until the last poster session is finished.
